Cpl Claudio Patino IV

This amazing young man and my friend from Yorba Linda was killed fighting for our freedom on June 22,2010. I feel honored and blessed to know him. I will never forget the day he was baptized. I still remember him coming up to Mike and I at church to tell us he was joining the marines. He was so excited to serve our country. He was a Warrior and now he is My HERO. God be with you until we meet again Claudio!!!

Happy 66th Birthday CHIEF

Today is my Dads birthday. Wish he was here to celebrate. Hope you are enjoying it in heaven Dad.

Dear Chief,

Happy 66th Birthday Dad. Wish you were here to play with my girls. I know you would have LOVED and ADORED them. We talk about you all the time. Kylie and Britain love their Papa Joe!!! Wish we could BBQ one more time together in the back yard. Wish I could come home and go into the garage and watch you work on your truck or dance with you to some mariachi music (that you could not even understand, but that is why I loved it). Wish I could go to an Angel game with you and watch you talk trash to all the ANGEL HATERS. Wish I could have just one more day to spend with you, just one more day to tell you face to face how much I love you. I will never forget all the time we spent together those last few months. I am so grateful that I was able to take care of you and be by your side in your worst of times. You are the bravest man I have ever know and fought a good fight.

I LOVE AND MISS YOU CHIEF.

Love,

Jessett

My First Half Marathon.. 13.1 Miles BABY!!!

I DID IT!!! I RAN 13.1 MILES!!!

Back in January the thought of running a half marathon seemed IMPOSSIBLE. As I started training I grew to LOVE running. It was literally one mile at a time for me. The first week I could barely run 1 mile with out stopping. By week 6 of my training, I was running 4.5. After that I seemed to just love it. I guess they call that the "runners high" or so that is what I hear. I would run around 20-25 miles a week and it felt good.

The day of the marathon I was nerves, but so excited. The first 3miles were rough for me. I was just getting my body warmed up and there were a few crazy hills. After I was warmed up the miles seemed to FLY by. Mile 6,7,8 and 9 were great. At around mile 10 I was getting a little tired, but that is right when I saw Mike and the girls. WOW... Talk about a burst of energy. I felt so relieve to see them. It made me excited to push through the last three miles.

Once I could see the finish line (around mile 12) and here the people cheering I knew I was almost done. I rounded the final corner and the first person I see is Mike, then my girls and then Mark and Danielle and all there kids. The feeling that I felt at that very moment was indescribable.

I loved training and running in this half marathon and I am excited for my next one in June. That is right, i said it. I am doing another one. I loved it and I hope to beat my time of 2hrs 33 minutes.

If I could do this ANYONE can.

Already to go... 6am check-in!!!

Crossing the finish line.. I was feeling happy/tired/emotional and excited to be done.

Where has 2010 gone?

It is hard to believe that we are already in the month of April. I have been terrible about posting but I am back and have A LOT of pictures to share.

Here is what we have been up to the last few months. Starting from the beginning of the year. :):):)

Our sweet Britain turned 2 on January 20th. As you can see we had a DORA PARTY!
