We've had so much going this past week I thought I was going to go crazy. Britains birthday Tuesday and Mikes birthday Wednesday kept me busy making cakes, wrapping presents, cleaning, dishes and feeling sick from all the junk we ate. Well, yesterday was another one of those days. I hosted a baby shower at our home for a cute girl in our ward from 11am-1pm, then off to our nephew Camerons birthday party at Chuck e cheese from 1pm-3pm, back to our place for a quick nap and then off to our other nephew Parkers basketball game (FYI: Parkers team rocks.... They killed the other team 48 to 5. GO CELTICS!!!). So needless to say we have been keeping busy and having fun.
I am SO grateful for Sundays. It is nice to go to church and then just be with family for the rest of day and not have to worry about going anywhere.

It never gets easy....
4 years ago today my father passed away from cancer. He was a fighter and fought until the very last breath. I would not wish this kind of death on anyone. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to watch but I am grateful to have been there by his side. I remember whispering in his ear that I loved him and that I was going to be OK and that my baby who was not born yet was waiting for him. I found out that I was pregnant the week before he pasted away, that made it so much harder. The more that my family grows and the older I get the more I miss him. I wish so bad that he could have know my little girls. I know that he would have adored them. He was a softy with his girls. If mom said no, dad would always give in. I wish that we could have watched one more football game together, had one more BBQ with him, have had one more quick weekend trip to the lake or cooked something late at night together. I miss watching him dance in the garage to mariachi music (even though he had now clue what they were saying), I miss his cut off shorts, tube socks and sweat bands. Believe it or not in high school he was named the best dressed (HA HA... Yeah right). We never believed him until my aunt showed us the news article. Could have fooled us dad!!! I miss him more today that ever. He was the dad that could do and make anything. If you could dream it up he could make it and make it out of anything.... wood, metal or cardboard. Love you chief!!!

The BIG 28 for Mike!!!!
Let me just tell you how lucky I am to have this man as my husband. I know that many of you that read this have already heard the story,..... but since the day that I laid eyes on him I knew that he was the one for me. He walked into Institute fresh off his mission and I turned to my friend and said "OMG, I don't know who that guy is but I am going to marry him" we laughed for a second, but that is how it turned out. Now, I am not a person that believes in love at first site, but with Mike that is just what it was. I had dated a few serious guys before him but Mike was different. He truly was the "perfect guy". I some times thought it was to good to be true. I was smitten from day one(I know that sounds so pathetic, but its true). If you don't believe me just ask my mom or his mom. LOL!! I think they probably thought I was "crazy" at first. I thought I was too...
Happy birthday Mikey... Love you babe!!!
We had a fun low key evening with our little family for Mikes birthday. Went to Chili's for some ribs, came home to have cake and presents, put the kids to bed and then of course we watched the Lakers.

Happy Birthday Britain
Its hard to believe that our little baby is one year old. She has been a joy in our lifes from day one. Brit loves to give hugs, love her blanket and binky, is a fabulous sleeper (I LOVE THAT), loves playing with Kylie, love love loves her daddy, loves talking on phones (well, she puts her hand to her ear and acts like she is talking, it is sooo cute) and she is a great eater and has a very sweet and loud personality. Not a day goes by that I don't thank my Heavenly Father for her.

We just got back from our fun/crazy/cold/adventures trip to Cedar Mountain with some of our really good friends. Thanks again Brandon and Erin!!!
Pros about our trip:
1. Vacation with out kids.
2. Riding snow mobiles for the first time.
3. Snowboarding
4. Sledding
5. Snuggling by the fire (because it was so FREAKING cold)
6. Did I mention no kids for 3 days!! (Thanks again Dave and Skye)
7. Vacationing with awesome friends
8. Laughing until we cried
9. Serious games of sequence (GIRLS RULE!!!)
Cons about our trip:
1. Getting stuck in the snow "TWICE".
2. Thinking that our husbands might be dead.
3. Having to walk for about 2 miles in the snow to find our husband.
4. Being cold for 3 days straight.
5. A snow mobile breaking down, so we had to rent another one.
6. "Outhouse".. That's all I need to say....
All in all it was really fun. We had a rough start but it ended up being really fun.
